Indoor Air Quality

Duct cleaning that actually cleans your ducts.

Truck-mounted, powerful, and thorough. We pull out the dust, pet hair, drywall bits, and construction gunk your HVAC has been quietly re-circulating — leaving your air cleaner, your system quieter, and your energy bills a little lighter.

Why bother?

Three reasons your ducts probably need it.

Cleaner air, less sneezing

Dust, dander, mould spores and pollen collect in your ductwork over time. Every time your furnace or heat pump kicks on, those particles get re-circulated. Cleaning them out cuts what your family breathes.

Quieter, more efficient HVAC

A clean duct system moves air faster with less resistance. Your heat pump or furnace doesn’t have to work as hard — which means lower bills and less wear on expensive equipment.

Peace of mind after a reno

Drywall dust, sanding grit and construction debris love hiding in ducts. If you’ve recently renovated, opened walls, or moved into a new-to-you home, a clean is the fastest way to reset.

What’s included

The full Sasquatch duct clean.

  • Truck-mounted vacuum system. Powerful enough to pull decades of buildup out in one visit — not the shop-vac trick some outfits use.
  • Every supply and return register. We hit every vent in your home, top to bottom.
  • Main trunk lines. The big horizontal runs in your basement or crawlspace — where the most buildup hides.
  • Furnace or air handler blower. Cleaned in place. Efficient airflow starts here.
  • Return-air drops. Often skipped by competitors. We don’t.
  • Fresh filter installed. New filter goes in when we’re done, so all that clean air actually stays clean.
  • Before & after photos. You see exactly what came out. No mystery invoice.

How it works

Half a day. Zero mess. Real photos.

  1. Walkthrough. We take a quick look at your ducts, count your registers, and confirm the quote before we start.
  2. Seal & protect. Every vent gets sealed except the one we’re working on, so debris moves toward our vacuum — not into your living room.
  3. Deep clean. Spinning brushes and compressed-air whips loosen buildup from every duct wall while the truck-mounted vac pulls it out.
  4. Blower + filter. Furnace or air handler cleaned. Fresh high-quality filter installed.
  5. Walk you through the photos. You see the before-and-after. We answer questions. You get on with your day.

Typical timing: 3 to 5 hours for an average Vancouver Island home. Larger or older homes may take a full day.

Timing

When should you book a duct cleaning?

  • Every 3–5 years for most homes.
  • After any renovation that opened walls, sanded drywall, or generated construction dust.
  • Moving into a home where the previous owner smoked, had pets, or the age of the ducts is unknown.
  • If anyone in your home has allergies, asthma, or respiratory sensitivities — annually is reasonable.
  • If you notice dust re-collecting quickly after cleaning, a musty smell when the HVAC kicks on, or visible debris around vents.

Questions people actually ask

Duct cleaning FAQs.

How much does duct cleaning cost in Victoria?

Pricing depends on the size of your home and how many registers you have. Most Vancouver Island single-family homes land between $450 and $850. We give you a firm quote before we start — no surprises.

Do I really need it? I’ve heard mixed things.

Honest answer: not every home needs it every year. If your home is under 5 years old, has good filters, and you don’t have pets or allergies, you might be fine going longer. If you have any of the situations above (reno, pets, allergies, unknown history) — yes, it’s worth it.

Will you make a mess?

No. We seal every vent, run the vacuum from our truck outside, and lay down floor protection. Your home should look identical when we leave (except cleaner-smelling).

Do you clean dryer vents too?

Yes. Ask when you book — we can bundle it with your duct cleaning for a discount. Dryer vent cleaning is a fire safety item most people forget.

What about sanitizing or fogging?

We can do an EPA-registered anti-microbial fog after the clean if you’d like — useful for homes with mould concerns or post-renovation situations. Ask if it’s right for your situation. We won’t upsell you on it if you don’t need it.
